Psalm 66

For the manager of music. A song. A psalm.

iShout for joy to God, all the earth!

Sing the glory of his name;

make his praise glorious.
3Say to God, “How awesome are your deeds!

And so nifty is your ability

that your enemies blench
4All the earth bows down

they sing praise

they sing the praises of your proper noun.”
fiveCome and run across what God has done,

his awesome deeds
6He turned the body of water into dry country,

they passed through

come, let us rejoice
7He rules forever

his eyes watch

permit not the rebellious

let the audio of his praise be heard;

ninehe has preserved our lives

and kept our anxiety from slipping.
10For you, God, tested

you refined us like silver.
11You brought united states of america into prison

and laid burdens
12Y’all allow people ride over our heads;

we went through fire and water,

but y’all brought us to a identify of abundance.
13I will come to your temple with burnt offerings

and fulfill my vows
14vows my lips promised and my oral fissure spoke

when I was in trouble.

15I will cede fatty animals to you

and an offer of rams;

I will offer bulls and goats.
16Come and hear,

let me tell
17I cried out to him with my mouth;

his praise was on my natural language.

18If I had cherished sin in my centre,

the Lord would not have listened;
19merely God has surely listened

and has heard
20Praise be to God,

who has not rejected

or withheld his love from me!

Released From the Police, Bound to Christ

7Practice you not know, brothers and sisters
2For instance, past law a married adult female is spring to her husband as long as he is alive, just if her husband dies, she is released from the law that binds her to him.
threeSo and so, if she has sexual relations with another man while her husband is nonetheless live, she is called an adulteress.
fourSo, my brothers and sisters, you also died to the law
fiveFor when nosotros were in the realm of the mankind,
6Just now, by dying to what once bound united states of america, we have been released from the police force

The Police and Sin

7What shall we say, so?
viiiMerely sin, seizing the opportunity afforded by the commandment,
9In one case I was alive apart from the law; just when the commandment came, sin sprang to life and I died.

10I found that the very commandment that was intended to bring life
xiFor sin, seizing the opportunity afforded past the commandment,
12So so, the law is holy, and the commandment is holy, righteous and good.
13Did that which is good, then, become death to me? By no means! Nevertheless, in order that sin might be recognized equally sin, it used what is good
fourteenNosotros know that the law is spiritual; but I am unspiritual,
15I do non sympathize what I practise. For what I want to practice I exercise not do, simply what I hate I do.
sixteenAnd if I do what I exercise not want to practise, I concur that the law is proficient.
17Equally information technology is, it is no longer I myself who do it, merely it is sin living in me.
eighteenFor I know that skillful itself does not dwell in me, that is, in my sinful nature.
xixFor I practise not do the skillful I want to do, but the evil I do not want to do—this I keep on doing.
20Now if I do what I practise not want to do, information technology is no longer I who do it, but it is sin living in me that does information technology.

21So I find this law at work:
22For in my inner being
23only I see another law at work in me, waging state of war
24What a wretched homo I am! Who will rescue me from this body that is subject to death?
25Thanks be to God, who delivers me through Jesus Christ our Lord!So so, I myself in my mind am a slave to God’s law,
